Stage 1 & Stage 2
The 245hp vRS uses the same EA888 platform as the Golf GTI but tuned lower. The hardware is identical — the only difference is software. A remap brings it to Golf GTI performance levels and beyond.
A Stage 1 remap on the Skoda Octavia vRS requires no hardware modifications. Our specialist software recalibrates boost, fuelling and ignition timing within the engine’s safe limits, delivering instant, driveable gains you’ll feel from the first drive.
What Changes
We recalibrate the EA888's boost, fuelling and ignition maps. The Octavia's additional weight means the torque increase is particularly noticeable — it pulls strongly from lower revs and feels substantially more urgent throughout.
Factory boost is set conservatively. We raise it to the level the turbo and internals can comfortably sustain, unlocking power that was always there.
Fuel delivery is recalibrated to match the new boost levels precisely — giving a cleaner burn, better response and improved efficiency under light loads.
Timing is advanced where the engine can safely benefit, improving combustion efficiency and delivering more torque across the full rev range.
The factory throttle map is deliberately muted. We sharpen it so the car responds the moment you press the pedal — no lag, no hesitation.

A quality remap modifies the ECU’s calibration data rather than adding any external hardware. While a dealership with specialist equipment could detect a changed map, it leaves no physical trace and does not trigger warning lights.

A remapped vRS (310hp) out-performs a standard Golf GTI (220hp) significantly. At Stage 1 it's comparable to a lightly modified GTI, at a lower purchase price.
Yes — the 2.0 TDI 184hp diesel version responds very well to remapping with gains of +40hp and +80Nm. Excellent for economy-focused remaps given the diesel's already strong torque.
