Stage 1 & Stage 2
The 2.3T EcoBoost is an overbuilt, heavy-duty engine running at well below its limits in ST form. The hardware is identical to the 350hp Focus RS — only the software holds it back.
A Stage 1 remap on the Ford Focus ST requires no hardware modifications. Our specialist software recalibrates boost, fuelling and ignition timing within the engine’s safe limits, delivering instant, driveable gains you’ll feel from the first drive.
Stage 2 requires hardware modifications — typically a performance exhaust, uprated intercooler or induction kit. Combined with a custom ECU map, this unlocks the full potential of the 2.3T EcoBoost engine.
What Changes
We recalibrate boost, fuelling and ignition across the rev range. The gain is felt most in the mid-range where torque increases dramatically, making the car significantly faster in the real-world conditions you actually drive in.
Factory boost is set conservatively. We raise it to the level the turbo and internals can comfortably sustain, unlocking power that was always there.
Fuel delivery is recalibrated to match the new boost levels precisely — giving a cleaner burn, better response and improved efficiency under light loads.
Timing is advanced where the engine can safely benefit, improving combustion efficiency and delivering more torque across the full rev range.
The factory throttle map is deliberately muted. We sharpen it so the car responds the moment you press the pedal — no lag, no hesitation.

A quality remap modifies the ECU’s calibration data rather than adding any external hardware. While a dealership with specialist equipment could detect a changed map, it leaves no physical trace and does not trigger warning lights.

A Stage 1 remapped Focus ST produces around 330hp — very close to the standard Focus RS. Stage 2 with hardware can match or exceed RS figures at significantly lower cost.
