The EA288 TDI is shared across VW Group vehicles from 115hp to 240hp on the same hardware. The 190hp A4 variant runs a conservative map — a specialist remap safely brings it to the upper end of what the engine is designed to deliver.
A Stage 1 remap requires no hardware modifications. Our specialist software recalibrates boost, fuelling and ignition timing within the engine’s safe limits, delivering instant, driveable gains.
What Changes
We recalibrate boost, injection pressure and fuelling on the EA288. The result is stronger, earlier torque — making motorway overtaking effortless and dual-carriageway driving far more relaxed. Most owners also report improved fuel economy.
Factory boost is set conservatively. We raise it to the level the turbo and internals can comfortably sustain, unlocking power that was always there.
Fuel delivery is recalibrated to match new boost levels precisely — giving a cleaner burn, better response and improved efficiency under light loads.
