ECUs can fail for a number of reasons, including water ingress and damaged (burnt or shorted) components. In many cases we can still recover and transfer the original data—even when there’s no communication via OBD or on the bench. Depending on the unit, our methods include BDM/boot mode access, direct connection via soldering, or component/chip transfer where required.

Most Body Control Modules (BCM / BSI) require programming before they’ll work on a vehicle. Using specialist tools and proven methods, we can clone most BCMs and make them plug-and-play, avoiding the need for additional vehicle programming.

In some cases, if your original ECU is damaged beyond repair, we can take a second hand ECU and make it a plug-and-play replacement. This can include immobiliser delete when the immobiliser data can’t be transferred (for example, if the immo chip is dead). It can also resolve other issues, such as situations where keys can’t be programmed.
